Vitae
Memoriam was founded by Kathleen Marien (read about who
we are).
She found
an ink company and a kiln manufacturer who could help and began producing
test pieces using special inks which could withstand the 900 degree heat
of the kiln.
During the following months inks were further modified and kiln
settings developed so that exact reproduction of the digital original could
be guaranteed. The equipment could be easily and regularly calibrated to
the high standards demanded by the professional digital graphics industry
from which Kathleen came.
Once satisfied, Kathleen invested in the equipment, and with her obvious graphical
talent produced many and varied samples then designed a beautiful and tasteful
brochure, she sub contracted a website
designer to produce a site based upon the brochure and found a nice modern premises
in which to work.
Work began only a year ago and as well as the stonemason who
she originally contacted she has 60 others in the small country of Belgium giving
over 300 orders a week to Vitae Memoriam.
