Once
she was satisfied Kathleen contacted the stonemason who was very helpful
and asked if a photo plaque could now be made from the edited picture. The
stonemason said that she should print this and he would post it to Italy
and she must wait several weeks for it to be returned.
Kathleen thought that
surely this could be improved so she began to investigate and gain a complete
understanding of how the stones are fired and the inks which are used in
the process then the question of how could these be adapted to use in more
modern technology?

Staff were quickly employed to help and Kathleen’s long term English
friend who also has a similar graphics background Peter Sprot took an interest
and suggested that Vitae Memoriam UK should be formed, then with another contact
Vitae memoriam in the small island of Malta quickly followed.
